Mallory MAGNETIC Electronic Distributor for Mopar Engines

[with removeable vac advance]
Based on a CNC machined billet housing, with the main shaft running in an upper ball bearing, and a lower bush for maximum stability & rpm.
Fitted with a ”male connector” cap incorporating a wire retainer [removeable] - 20% more cross-fire resistant. Easy to adjust mechanical [extra springs supplied] and vacuum advance. In cases where the vacuum advance is not required, a vacuum advance eliminator conversion plate is supplied.
Use with: PP-BY29216 coil, PP-BY700 resistor, PP-BY8213 bracket.
Before using the ballast resistor, check that there is 12 volts on the power wire that was previously attached to the + side of the coil. If you are using a capacitive discharge system like MSD 6AL, or the Mallory V! AL, then a ballast resistor will not be required. There are three wires on this distributor- Red goes to 12v. Green goes to the - side of the coil [assuming the car is negative earth]. Brown goes to a good earth. This should be cleaned & checked each year. A bad earth will blow the module. Do not use this distributor without an alternator, and the alternator must be in good order. Active power filter PP-BY29351 can be used to further protect the module.
