Main Stud Kit

ARP Main studs allow the use of higher torque than the OEM bolts. This helps to eliminate bolt stretch under duress. Bolt stretch can cause wear in the block because the cap moves, lowering the bolt torque. In some cases the bolts are found in the sump.Made from aircraft quality 8740 Chrome Moly Steel, with rolled threads to ensure precise tolerances. With hardened, parallel-ground washers and high strength hex nuts. Tensile strength190,000 PSI. Torq- 135lb ft with oil, 90 lb ft with ARP moly.

NEW 4.6 Half Engine

This is the latest type of block with more aluminium behind the sleeve, to banish forever the water seepage problem, experienced with many 4.6 engines. This version is fitted with the long nose crankshaft, and a spacer is provided if you are using the early type timing cover [the type that uses a distributor] and harmonic balancer. The “Classic” long nose cam is fitted, with the early timing gears. This unit is ideal to convert your weary 3.5/3.9 to a 4.6 with more torque & pulling power.

Remanufactured 3.5 Half Engine Exchange

Block checked for any damage, cracks, or bad threads. Main tunnels checked for out of round, with new bolts. Line bored if required. Cylinders bored +20 & honed to new 9.75 pistons. Tops of cylinder block machined parallel to crank centreline. Crank checked for straightness and reground. HD bolts fitted to conrods & big end eyes recircled. All reciprocating components balanced. New cam bearings fitted to block. Everything cleaned & assembled using Clevite Trimetal bearings.
