Edelbrock

Designed for 302,327,350 & 400 up to 1986, street high-performance, & bracket racing. These heads offer out of the box, bolt on performance. Improved power throughout the rpm range for great throttle response and top end horsepower. Features: straight plugs, inlet & exhaust ports CNC port matched, hardened valve seats for unleaded fuels. 9/16” thick deck surface for maximum strength. Inlet & exhaust ports in std GM position.
Assembled with: stainless steel, swirl polished inlet & exhaust valves with under cut stems; positive valve stem oil seals, 3/8” rocker studs and guide plates; valves springs, retainers and locks. May be used with cams up to .575” valve lift. Heads feature threaded inserts in rocker & exhaust bolt holes for superior strength. Use BYRC12YC plugs for most applications, inlet gaskets PP-BYMS3888/PP-BY5820, exhaust gaskets PP-BY14044. Hardened push rods will be required. If std rockers are used, .100” longer pushrods will be required.

Edelbrock

These heads are for 302, 327, 350 & 400 SBC with “Vortec 8 bolt” inlet manifolds. High quench chamber promotes uniform atomization of the a/f mixture for more power. Inlet ports are .200” taller than std SBC heads. Spark plug positioned closer to the centre of the cylinder for more efficient combustion. Accepts centre bolt or edge bolt rocker covers. Exhaust port exits are .200” higher than std heads. 20% more exhaust flow than cast iron Vortec heads, good power up to 6000rpm. Super Chevy magazine built a 355cu in engine with these heads, an RPM air gap inlet manifold & a hydraulic roller cam, “claiming” 485bhp & 485 ft lbs of torque. OK for .575” lift.

Using sophisticated tooling & state of the art casting techniques, Dart have achieved outstanding airflow without time consuming & expensive hand porting. These heads have extra thick decks & high capacity water jackets, that increase reliability in high performance applications. Features- hard exhaust seats, magbronze valve guides, heart shaped chambers, multi angle inlet seats, & radiused exhaust, accepts both types of rocker covers, will accept up to 1.55” springs, standard port locations, as cast heads are bowl blended on 5 axis CNC machine.

Pro Action SBC Heads are the optimum choice for a ariety of performance applications, including street rods, muscle cars, oval track, drag racing, circuit racing etc. These heads have multi angled inlet & radiused exhaust seats. Valve springs up to 1.55” can be fitted.

These aluminium oval port heads will support over 540bhp with 9.5 compression, when used with the matching components. With flat top pistons, a compression ratio of 9.2:1 can be obtained. Unique intake ports give flow numbers normally associated with rectangular port heads. Compatible with all intake manifolds designed for early style large oval port Chevrolet heads. Results in outstanding horsepower, and excellent torque and throttle response. The 100cc chamber is semi open design. Stainless valves have smaller than stock 11/32” stems to promote excellent flow, and lighter valve weight. Will work on MK4, Gen V & Gen VI engines. 7/16” rocker studs. OK up to .700” lift.

Dart

These heads were designed for street perf, bracket racing, oval track, marine etc. There are two size rectangular ports- a high velocity 308cc that produces incredible torque, and a 345cc version that’s perfect for big-inch, high rpm Rat motors. Features- valve angles rolled 2 degrees from std to reduce chamber volume & improve flow, heart shaped 119cc chambers, multi-angle inlet seats & radiused exhaust, exhaust ports raised .300” to improve flow [1” longer bolts required next to exhaust ports]. Manganese bronze inlet valve guides extend cylinder head life, phosphorous bronze exhaust valve guides are better able to resist heat produced by low-compression engines. As cast heads are bowl blended on 5-axis CNC machines.

These heads are designed for std replacement to build mild street/marine engines. Premium grade cast iron is used for consistent casting quality & increased resistance to cracking.

Dart

These heads produce great throttle response and low to mid range torque for street/marine performance engines. These heads are a vast improvement over factory originals. Features- extra thick decks, heart shaped chambers, multi-angle inlet & radiused exhaust seats, screw in rocker studs, machined rocker cover rails. Has late model inlet facecentre two inlet bolts on a different angle. Use rail type rockers.

World’s stock replacement 305 heads, make it easy to rebuild engines economically. These heads have extra thick decks & walls, hardened steel exhaust seats, screw in rocker studs, and machined rocker cover rails. Hardened pushrods are not required. Straight spark plugs. Good for .560” lift.
The only head designed specifically for 262, 265, 283, 305 and 307 engines. The larger 1.940” inlet valves (1.720” std) and 170cc Hi-Torque intake runners improve power. Stainless steel valves, heavy duty 1.250” dia. springs, 7o retainers and locks, screw-in rocker arm studs. 58cc chamber.
