Supercharged 383ci sbc in my 78 camaro

This engine is fitted in my own car, these pics give you an idea of the quality of my work. I have used the best in forged internals, forged eagle crank, H-beam eagle rods and forged blower pistons.
The heads are Dart iron eagles and i have fitted a blower hydraulic cam as it is a street car. If i was racing it then i would have fitted a mechanical roller cam. The blower is a 6/71 gmc and is 10% over driven. She runs about 10 psi.
The engine is painted in 2-pack for durability, the sump is a high capacity one with trap doors and i am using a high volume oil pump. This engine should be good for 600 hp, hopefully more ! Later in the year I will run her down the strip as proof is in the pudding !

383ci stroker

This engine is again a 383ci stroker using forged internals.
Flat top pistons and a nice comp cams camshaft is a good combination for pure grunt. The heads were relatively std i just bead blasted them and cut the valves and seats. I used viton seals for better sealing, and the springs caps and colletts all match the cam.
Painted in 2pk to match the truck it is in with a chrome sump and Enduroshine manifold. looks good to me !

Chevy Nova 350ci with tunnel ram

This car is really nice, the one all the racers want!
It had a crate motor in it around 260 hp, and the customer was in my workshop one day and spotted a tunnel ram sat on a model A pick up. He liked it and bought it and asked me to cut a hole in his car and fit it !
So i pulled the engine and made a few changes. With a tunnel ram the engine has to be right or you loose power instead of gain it ! I fitted a comp cams 270 cam, the largest you can go with a std converter. I then changed the std 76cc heads for a pair of double hump high compression heads. They were treated to new stainless valves and a 3 angle seat and valve cut.
To measure where the hole had to go i used a bare block to mock up the tunnel rams position and then spent about 2 hours carefully measuring and marking. I then decided to sleep on it before i started cutting as i didnt want to make any mistakes. Hole cut, measured up fine! The engine took a while to tune up as dialing in the twin 450 holleys wasnt easy. I increased jet sizes and played with accelerator pump cams and power valves and finally got it working. She has certainly woken up now,
Although another day tuning would really get her going. It looks good from any angle!

65 Impala convertible 350ci to replace a tired 307ci

This car has a worn out 307ci chevy that needs to be pulled so i have built a 350ci for the customer ready to exchange.
The engine is std apart from a 265 comp cam for bottem end grunt and flat top pistons to take her to about 9.0 to 1 compression.
I have fitted an enduroshine manifold with re-built 600cfm holley carb. This should move things along nicely! I will also be fitting a chrome sump and chrome water pump before fitting so will add some more pictures shortly. Here is the engine with shiny bits fitted, she looks good now.She runs really nicely and is in keeping with the car its got alot more power than the old 307.

Marine engine re-build 305ci Performance heads

This engine is from a boat, the engine had been full of water and also had a cracked head. It is receiving a full re-build with performance mods. The pistons i have used are the HO pistons which should give a compression ratio of around 9.3 to 1. the cam has been chosen to give plenty of power upto 5500rpm although most boats only rev to 4500rpm. Because i had to replace the cylinder heads due to damage i have used the World Products performance heads specifically designed for the 305 engine. All of this will give a big improvement on a std engine. The crank was still ok at std and the bores are now +30.
I will upload pictures as the build goes on so watch this space.

honda CX 500 trike conversion

This customer has requested a conversion on his bike to a trike, it is a good bike to do it to because it is shaft drive ! I am sourcing an axle from a bedford rascal van as they are narrow to start with. I have the option of a morris 1000 axle also so we are going to use what best suits.
Swinging arm now made, just needs bracing to finish. Prop shaft is now being made as we have the length i need. Next stage is getting the wheels on so i can fit mud gaurds. Will update as i go along.

540 Blown Big Block

Hi there, this time a big block. A big one at that! This is a 540 ci stroked engine running an 8/71 supercharger. The block is a Dart Big M block running forged crank, H-beam rods and forged blower pistons.
The heads are also Dart with large 345cc inlet runners, perfect for a blown engine. The valve train will consist of roller rockers and stud girdle to make sure all the power is available from this monster. The front damper is double key'd so as not to spin on the crank. Ontop of the blower sits 2 demon 4 barrel carbs feeding into the large 8/71 blower which is a Weind item, the carbs are receiving new gaskets and seals. To make all this work well she runs a mechanical roller cam to again get maximum power.

All done and back in the car,and what a car!!

454ci Big Block Chevy in a 71 camaro

Ok this big block is a relatively std build but it needed a few mods to get it running right as was a running fresh build with teething problems. The heads are having new guides fitted, the bottom end is being fully balanced as the engine had a vibration. I will re-use most of the internal parts as they are fresh so a hone on the block and new bearings will sort the bottom end.
She runs a comp cam, ally manifold and 750 carb, should be a nice street engine. Will add pictures as build progress's.

All done and running sweet!

Pontiac 350ci full re-build

This engine is in a nice 1980 Trans-am, it has worn out so will receive a full re-build. I will be using Flat top pistons and comp cams to wake her up,also replacing the old cast manifold and quadrajet carb for an ally Edelbrock manifold and holley carb.
Machining now done, ready for assembly.

Painted and ready for instalation!
